What GEO costs in Singapore, and why.

Prices in this market range from a few hundred dollars a month to five figures a quarter, for work that is not the same. Here is what actually moves the number, and how to compare two quotes.

The short answer

You are not buying pages. You are buying questions monitored, facts corrected and a record kept.

Four variables explain almost all of the spread between quotes.

  1. How many questionsTen buyer questions, asked monthly on four engines, is a different job from a hundred questions weekly.
  2. How many languagesEnglish only, or English and Chinese. Each language doubles the asking and the editing.
  3. How broken the record isIf your name, address and description disagree across nine places, a month of the budget goes to fixing that first.
  4. What you publishA monthly reading, or a private report nobody outside the company sees. The first costs more and earns more.
Published prices

What is actually public in this market.

Very little, which is itself information. Of the Singapore agencies that name GEO as a service, most quote nothing and ask you to request a proposal. One of the longer-established local agencies publishes a GEO package from S$580 a month, with higher tiers on the same page. Retained programmes that include content production and outreach generally run well above that, because the work is people writing and people asking.

We do not publish a number. Not because it is a secret, but because the honest range for the same service is wide: a company with one product line and a clean entity record needs a fraction of the work of a group with four subsidiaries and conflicting listings. We price after the free check, when the number of questions and the amount of repair is known. If a provider quotes before looking, they are quoting an average, and you are the one who finds out which side of it you are on.

Comparing quotes

Put two quotes on the same basis before you compare the numbers.

Cost per question, per engine, per month

Take the fee, divide by the number of fixed questions, then by the number of engines. That single number makes two proposals comparable in a way the headline price never does. A S$580 package covering five questions on one engine is not cheaper than a S$1,500 programme covering twenty questions on four.

What counts as a fixed question

Ask for the list, in writing, before you sign. If the provider will not fix the list, they cannot report change against it, and you cannot check their work. This is the single most useful thing to insist on.

Whose words are kept

The answers themselves, word for word, with the date and the engine. Not a score, not a dashboard. If the month goes badly, the raw answer is the only thing that tells you what actually happened.

What happens when a fact is wrong

Correction is the part that requires judgement: which source does the model trust, which directory is stale, which page needs to change. Ask who does that, and how they decide. If the answer is “we publish more articles”, that is content marketing, not correction.

What not to pay for

Four things we would not sell you, and would not buy.

  1. A guaranteed citationNobody controls what an answer engine shows. The promise is either a misunderstanding or a lie, and both cost you money.
  2. Volume without a question listTwelve articles a month about nothing in particular is the most common way to spend a GEO budget and see nothing move.
  3. A dashboard in place of answersIf you cannot see the raw answer that was recorded, you are looking at someone's summary of their own work.
  4. A rebuild you did not needMost audits find inconsistent facts, too few pages and blocked crawlers. A new website fixes none of those.
Questions we get asked

Four straight answers.

Is there a minimum engagement?

Practically, yes: under three months there is not enough of a record to tell whether anything changed. A single month tells you what was said, not whether the work moved it.

Can we start small?

That is the sensible way. One language, ten questions, four engines, three months. If the record shows movement, extend the question set. If it shows nothing, you have spent a small amount to learn that.

Do you charge for the initial check?

No. The check exists so both sides can see the starting position before anyone commits. It also tells us whether the work is worth quoting at all.

How does this compare with an SEO retainer?

Usually less, because the surface is narrower: fixed questions rather than a keyword field. The exception is when the entity record is badly broken, where the repair work is closer to a technical SEO project.
