Our own case: how buyers found TIY through AI

I’m KK from TIY.
Messages above are greetings.
I’ve accepted your friend request. We can start chatting now.
Hello, I’m [name], from procurement at [company].
Hello, nice to meet you. Below is my colleague, who handles software purchasing for some accounts in China. You can add him first.
OK.
May I ask where you found us? And which software do you need? You can give the details here, and I’ll ask my colleagues to prepare it in more detail for you.
I looked this up with AI 😅. What we need is JMP software.
Between August and October 2026, TIY's sales team received 12 enquiries. Three of the buyers said they had looked this up with an AI assistant before they contacted us.
What we counted
- 12 enquiries received from August to October 2026.
- 3 of them where the buyer said, in their own words, that they had looked us up with AI.
- The count comes from our sales chat records, which we keep word for word.
One example
One buyer, asked where they had found us, replied: “I looked this up with AI. What we need is JMP software.” The original message, in Chinese, is shown above.
What it shows, and what it does not
- It shows that buyers do ask AI to find suppliers, and that some of them reach a Singapore company that way.
- It does not show a rate. Twelve is a small number, and three of twelve could easily move next month.
- It is what buyers told us. We did not measure what the AI said to them.
- It is not a client result. These are enquiries to our own sales team, not an engagement where we improved a client’s visibility.
What we do next
We keep counting every month. We will publish counts, not percentages, until there are enough months to compare.
